There are games we never choose to begin.
We enter life with numbers already cast chance, loss, desire, time.
The dice become symbols of everything beyond our control.
Not luck alone, but fate unfolding through uncertainty.
What we can’t choose, we learn to carry.
What we cannot control, we learn to play.
This is the space between chance and will.

Her face carries the tones of every skin, a reflection of shared strength and identity.
Rooted in the artist’s upbringing among powerful women, this work celebrates the beauty, resilience, and unity that transcend color and form.

Women in Passage Cover

Before us walk women who carry memory, culture, and vision. They represent my own grandmother from the Peruvian highlands and from the Middle East but they are also everyone’s grandmothers, all women who have cleared the path before us.
In their braids and garments lives a silent language of resilience, beauty, and strength. Every thread, every ribbon, bears witness that women are the keepers of culture, the bearers of tomorrow. They do not look back, because their path always leads forward into the unknown, into possibility.
Their presence reminds us that women are not merely part of history; they shape it, sustain it, and carry it onward. And so will we. Their journey is our inheritance, and our own footsteps will one day become someone else’s foundation. This is the eternal power of women: to walk, to endure, to carry, and to leave behind a light that never fades.

A striking interpretation of cultural identity through layered expression. This piece features the recurring cholo figure, rendered with gestural linework and energetic color blocks. The composition evokes dignity, mystery, and power drawing the viewer into a contemporary reclamation of heritage.

A tribute to the mind in motion where every thought becomes color, every memory a mark. It speaks of the inner world we carry quietly, and the crown we forge through struggle, vision, and becoming. In the midst of disorder, identity rises. Not polished, but powerful.

The Architecture of Us is a two-part exploration of human identity, connection, and the unseen frameworks that shape how we relate to one another. Using color-coded figures, wooden forms, and symbolic silhouettes, the series reflects on the deeply structural and deeply personal nature of being human how we are built, how we break through, and how we bridge the distance between “I” and “we.”
